The need for planning never ends. Three months
before the new M-TEC technical education facility was scheduled
to open at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, the newly
hired CEO and President recognized a need for focused planning,
and for involving faculty, staff, investors and other stakeholders
in the endeavor. While M-TEC's mission and general purposes were
in place, in order to capitalize on the opportunity before them
his team would need to develop a focused plan for marketing and
operating M-TEC. TMR worked closely with a core planning team to
identify stakeholders who should be involved in developing the plan,
used individual and group methods to assess and understand the varying
needs of the stakeholders, and designed a planning process that
tapped the knowledge and experience each individual was bringing
to this new organization. The result was a strategy that builds
on and leverages existing strengths, while creating a vision for
an exciting future in an untried organizational model.

"TMR helped us focus our direction.
Because TMR did their 'homework' before beginning our planning
sessions, we started our planning sessions with a focus and
framework. Their help was invaluable."
