MBLEE
The Michigan Business Leaders for Education Excellence, an alliance
of major Michigan corporations, has been working to improve the
quality of education for a decade. When this group decided to conduct
an assessment of progress toward its agenda for reform and to prepare
for implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act, its leaders
turned to Traverse Management Resources. The challenge presented
to the Knopps was to find out what education and opinion leaders
thought about progress made over the past ten years and to develop
the factual information to compliment or contradict those perceptions.
TMR conducted interviews, worked with government agencies and a
variety of sources to gather documentation, analyzed the information
and developed the summary report and conclusions. The resulting
report combines fact and perception in a concise, easy to understand
format that paints a clear picture of the current status of education
reforms in Michigan and provides food for thought about continuing
improvements.
